The Skeleton Gorge to Nursery Ravine hike is a moderate to challenging trail located on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, directly above Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The trail is known for its stunning scenery, including a rain forest-like ravine, towering cliffs, and panoramic views of the city and ocean. Nursery Ravine consists of a series of steps, steep in some sections, but the views are worth the effort. As you climb, you will pass through a variety of vegetation, including proteas, cycads, and ferns. The trail eventually reaches the Upper Helly Hutchinson Dams where it flattens out and you can admire the views of the "table top". You will return via Nursery Ravine, a great way to experience the beauty of Table Mountain. The trail is challenging but rewarding, and the views are simply stunning.
